Portfolio Template v1.
I've decided to make myself a portfolio. I need some ideas and feedback..
This would be the about page. I think I will try to add flash to it too. I just don't know how to use the flash program yet, even though i could probably do most of the effects in photoshop. I decided to go with black and pink for some reason. The faded white stripes are for anti-rip. The rest of them that you can see clearly are part of the design.

I like it... Maybe give the buttons a lime-green rollover?

Agreed a lime-green rollover will go nice with the pink

I like the sort of logo, I dont like the white/pink/white lines at the top left, and top right.
I'd say get the rid of the pink line at the bottom left, and move the 'about' section inline with the header image.
I like the overal layout though, looks very nice.

Great design man. I like the use of the saturated pink on the grey. I'm not sure about the font you've used for the About box, or the way that the ribbon on the bottom left doesn't line up with the bottom of the page. Otherwise, I really like this.

It looks great. My suggestions:
The little pink strip in the bottom-left corner looks a little out of place. I would recommend removing it. I understand that may affect the balance of the design so possibly add a copyright in the center at the bottom that has pink text.
The logo looks like a mock-up at the moment. It doesn't look like I would expect the finalised design to look. It's not easy to read; possibly move the text apart vertically. After another look, it is definitely the text that doesn't look right.
The navigation tabs look like they fade the further right you go. I think you should keep them all like the first, "WORK", one. The active tab could look like the darker "CONTACT" one; I think that would be nice.
The photo in the middle looks less opaque than it should. Did you lower the opacity so that it wouldn't detract from the logo/menu? The photo curl looks very bright!
The about box at the bottom looks out of place. I'd recommend moving or removing it.
I hope I've helped. Good luck with your gorgeous design!

I really like it, and i agree with the lime.
Young has made some good points aswell, such as the fading to the right.

Thanks for feedback, any more comments are appreciated. I'll try to work on making changes tonight.
Task list,Goals:
-Remove the fade effect from the tabs. Make the active tab green or a darker pink.
-Change/Remove the ribbon on bottom left
-Work on the sections like "About" on the bottom, try arranging in different ways.
-Work on the "logo" text.
-Work on the photo opacity , as it looks odd with the photo curl.
