  Old  Preload for CSS?

Can you preload images in JS so that you get a smooth rollover in CSS, or does the preload only work if the rollover is done in JS too?

Thanks,

Seb

Why not just put the rollover and none rollover image into 1? That way they're both loaded at page open. Css is background position -right or left

Does anyone know why the preload works on here - www.proxywasp.com but not here - http://www.proxywasp.com/cgi-bin/cgi/nph-proxy.pl ?

They use the same code but changed for the correct images.

I think he was trying to get "less than IE8", including IE7 and lower (not IE8). The "lte" is less than or EQUAL to, so putting IE7 should work.

You guys realize that the if ie deal has nothing to do with the rollovers - which this thread is about right?

And also I no longer need to know this as the rollovers are being done as Jamie suggested.

Ah, good. I find that's the best way to do them, super fast and they just load with the page.
