I used to prefer WYSIWYG as it was so convenient for a beginner but the more I got underneath the surface the more I preferred actual html. Once youre familar with the code things become a lot cleaner and safer. Because on the WYSIWYG end a lot of erroneous or superfluous html can slip in without you being able to see it. Its even worse when you paste in stuff from other text editors, like MS Word. At least people should sift through the html once they're done in WYSIWYG.
