Did you know that a new case of invasive breast cancer is diagnosed in the U.S. every 3 minutes?

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a remarkable, interactive weekend Walk that raises critical dollars to provide access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer. The Walk provides the opportunity for all participants to make a tangible commitment toward eradicating breast cancer while also increasing critical awareness of this deadly disease.

This walk is being held May 5th and 6th in Washington DC.

Please consider making a donation (of any amount, from $1.00 to ???) by visiting the following link: Donate to the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer

As you will see, the link takes you to a specific "Walkers" donation page (which is secure by the way). This walker happens to be a friend of mine that is participating in the walk. All contributions go directly to Avon, and she is credited with the donation received, and you with the donation given. Simply put, she has a goal she has committed to reaching in total donations, and I am assisting her in meeting this goal, with your help. Her Name is Nora, and she is a active member in the community where we live... from working as a vet tech and helping to save animals, to helping Hurricane Katrina Victims, pets, to various other civil duties and contributions. My assisting her, is completely anonymous (as in, she has no Idea that I am helping her to meet her goal for the Avon event, and I'd like to keep it that way).

Should you happen to make a donation, simply use your own name, or you too can remain Anonymous. If you do make a donation, and choose to have your name displayed as the donor, it will be viewable on her page at Avon located here: Nora's Page , and you can also read a little more about her participation in this.

I truly appreciate anyone that can help me, help Nora meet her goal.

Additional Information about Where the money goes can be found here: Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

Again, I appreciate anything you could do to help.

PS: If anyone makes a donation using the links provided of $10.00 or more, I will place a text ad on my forum, right column, replacing my adsense ads... Your text link may include a text link, and description, just like a adsense ad and will remain for two months! Just pm me when you have donated and provide me with your info.

Thank you.

Thank you Jeff, for allowing this post, and for the support. My wife lost her mother a few years to cancer, so this is a particularly important cause to me, as is helping a friend out. I appreciate it!

I really appreciate what you're doing for Nora and for the cause, Mark. If I could, I would've given more.

Edder, thank you very much! Let me know if you want to take me up on the offer for the text link. I'll have it up ASAP. Our member base is 5000 strong, and sites that do well with out members / ad wise, are arcades, proxies, image hosting, even vbskining sites, since some of our members are wrestling forum owners...

Anyhow, let me know. Again, I can't stress my appreciation of your generosity.

PS: PM me your blog link (assuming you have one, I've been meaning to add you to mine )

Thanks hjalmar. For those of you with paypal, and no debit / credit card associated with it, please feel free to pm me for my paypal info, and I will make the donation on your behalf, as my paypal is a business account and I have a credit card for use with it.

Thanks again to all of those who viewed this, and are keeping it in mind for a later date.

I'm going to donate when I get paid next.

Also, next year, I will be going to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Walk/Run because it will both help a great cause, and I love running.
