  Old  <3 compact flourescents

I just got four of those spiral compact flourescents for my room, replacing normal incandescent light bulbs...

LET THERE BE LIGHT!

These things are amazing, my room is bright and white, I see corners I have never known exist. I think it really makes my room a lot more relaxing.

I <3 Compact Flourescents.

I prefer the compact halogens. With the compact flourescents I was finding it annoying that they wouldn't work too well with dimmers & the such.

It's true that they don't dim... But I don't need them to, so it works out well for me. Halogens are good, but use a lot of energy and get hot as hell. Still nice though.

Flourescents turn on and off about 100 times a second...try blinking that many times. Make your eyes hurt? Well don't blame me if you get a headache after a few hours
