  Old  Defining Web 2.0

Hey guys,
Recently I've been getting many clients asking for "2.0 designs" - They've shown me examples and for the most part I understand what it is. Sites like CWD and such are 2.0-style, I guess.

Anyway, "what defines a 2.0 site?" is really what I'm after in this topic...

There is no thing as a "web 2.0 site".

web 2.0 is probably more enclosed on the coding/managment of the design spectrum.

CSS = 2.0
Tabular HTML = 1.0

CMS/Blog System = 2.0
File Edit Update System = 1.0

also, if they want 2.0 designs I am seeing a trend that they are more simplistic than 1.0s

in a nutshell he said that the next wave of websites to adapt a trend of similar coding / features (CSS, Podcasts, Blogs, AJAX, etc..) will be "2.0"

it goes deeper, but it gets more confusing as we go.
