Incorrect - there are still rare purposes where it is correct to use them.


Other examples are say bibliographies and references, where text is meant to be bold or italic for typographical purposes; however, semantically speaking it doesn't have to be. So because it only helps visually, they technically should be <b> and <i>.

If your concerns when marking up HTML put SEO (which I believe is a huge waste of time)
If your site was #1 for a popular term, I think your bank account balance would beg to differ

SEO is a waste of time if you don't know what you're doing, because you'll get bugger all results. If you get pro at it, well, you'd be making millions.
