What is an Effective Internet Marketing Strategy?

If you ask any successful offline world entrepreneur how it’s possible to build a great business without a proper strategy, he’ll start laughing. But many internet marketers are trying to make money without even realizing what on earth they’re doing online…

That's because most people do not treat it as a business. That may be because many are just looking to supplement their income which is fine. Nothing wrong with that. But if you truly want to build a business, then you need to learn how to run it as a business.

Both of you have good points. We don't really know the reasons why people make websites. There are some people who make websites for the purpose of giving information. Some migrated from offline marketing into internet marketing, like what webkingit says.

You get out what you put in, its that simple. If people are not willing to make the hard work happen to get what they really want, they won't. There is no easier way to explain it really.

I think any marketeer who start in doing his business usually set a goal for at least one month.Personally i fond this way is very essential to determine what you want to do in a certain time limit and visualize it, then we can follow steps to reach our goal.

That can account for some failure but not all. I've seen people work extremely hard and get no where because they are working on all the wrong things.

It really depends on the person, if you're a business man you will definitely have a good mktg. strategy, if you're just an ordinary person just to have an extra income you will not put an extra effort to earn online.

If you want to make money, you gotta know how to market. Whether it's offline or online... To make money you market yourself, products or services.

So if the goal is to make money online, you can improve your chances by knowing how to effectively market.

And that goes back to my point of getting out what you put in. I can not think of one person has never heard "nothing is free", so really there is no excuse for it. If you do not know how to do it that is another story though.

Strategies needs to be planned before getting in to any biz be it online or offline. Fact is earning anything online is more difficult in the initial stages.
