Hey TFL, it's been a while since I posted here, but I've got a web-dev site called Pixolia. (Our website is getting refreshed in January). We do anything from simple 5-page websites to big-ticket web application work. We get leads often, mostly local clients around the Sacramento and Bay areas but we're expanding exponentially.
It began as just me and a buddy doing websites for local clients but we're getting more work than we can handle so we're trying something new. Basically, we give extra work to a whitelist of freelancers, each can bid on the project and will get paid nicely for it (anywhere from $15-$50 an hour, depending on the project). We are looking for professional designers who are willing to take on projects and complete them by a designated deadline.
We do everything through our Basecamp (and Google Wave, if you've got it), so you'll get emails and can look through them as you please.
