a 2:1 is still quite good :P. If its 1% you can argue your way to it, if you want to be an expert at it go to a marketplace and watch people trying to buy fruit at half the price, apply the same principle to your lecturers .

Although 1% is actually a lot bigger than it sounds.

On your certificate you get the % you acheived aswell so don't beat yourself up.
