I feel we have had the upgrade and now it's like, "lets make some changes for the hell of it".
Here is my detailed thoughts.
HTML/CSS should be one, you won't get many posts in CSS
Graphic design & Multimedia inclues Flash and Actionscript, so is there any purpose to this forum? Unless you want to spend the next 3 days moving flash posts into there.
Designers software was development software, isn't it the same thing?
Photography I agree with, you will get posts, there is a demand.
The SEO forum includes SEO news, link building etc....not sure why 2 other forums are needed for this? You won't get barely any posts in link building and SEO news. I mean in nearly 3 years we have only had under 3,000 posts in SEO in TOTAL.
I'm confuesed by Marketing (e-mail and direct) and then "banner and other advertising", then you have PPC, so what exactly is other? 3 forums for essentially "advertising", why not just keep it as one?
Community building, there isn't a demand. People will post in "advertising".
Essentially, go back to the old setup but keep the photography forum, then we have everything everyone loved but with the additional forum that was requested before, if it aint broke don't fix it!

To show how critical you are about things (not that that is necessarily a bad thing) - but I've seen nothing but critique from you since handing it over.
I agree with the merge of the forums. There doesn't need to be this many.

I agree for the most part with BidJam, way too many forums and many of them could be merged.

Well, I might be critical but that's because there are things to be critical about. I don't just post things for the sake of causing arguments or to get anyones backs up, I post because what I say makes sense. CPR just posted that to cause an argument, well he failed.

100% agreed, too many forums. They got me all confused at first.

Thanks for your input guys - it was never going to be easy and there has been a huge amount of debate going back and forth about this.
We do however feel there is some need for expanding certain forums as they where far to general. it is not an easy task getting it right. As I have also said the forum re-skin will help a lot on appearance and there is also probably a need for creating somethings in subforums.
