  Old  New to web design

Well like the title says it. I am actually studying to be a web designer and interactive media, and well I was wondering what programming languages will I actually experience during this course?

I know some HTML, C++, C+, XML etc,

But I am curious of what kind of different ones I will experience through this? Like more of the interactive media I know what I mostly need for the web design part.....

Which one or two very important language is used for web designing.

Can any buddy tell me about this...

Jeroen G is an unknown quantity at this point

html/css and some javascript for the frontend and PHP for the backend (content management system) is what I would say. I'm no programmer though

Well if you'll be creating interactive media you'll most likely be working with Flash then so you'll want to learn ActionScript in order to be proficient. You'll still want to strengthen your HTML though as the whole website probably won't be coded in Flash and you'll have to integrate it properly which is where it will come in handy.
