Marquee in xhtml?
It doesn't exist (i know). But other than javascript, any other alternatives?

cos the client request one .. lol
thought of doing it in flash, but then I don't think they know how edit the text though .. lol
so is there any alternatives?

I think the use of javascript would be the best and well only option really that is viable.

Use the marquee element and to hell with validation. Alternatives as you know include Flash and JavaScript, both with their own particular advantages and disadvantages.

just tell him the marquee tag was removed from the latest versions of html for a reason and browsers don't support it very anymore. it could probably fool someone who actually WANTS and marquee.

And marquee is not semantic.
If you really want that effect then use javascript.

Yea, already tell her most browsers don't support marquee. I think I'll go with flash. Lolx,

So do you mean Marquee is semantic? If so, do you have a source? I don't have a source so I'll take my words back but I've heard that on some forum.
