I also get people saying the same to me, I do not think I have ever swore, do not see the point in it, I just find it rude. I have been having ago at some of my mates recently because all they ever seem to do is swear and I dont like it at all.

Good!
Like Techno said, if I'm at school and a swear word is on the page it will stop be from being able to view the thread. Apart from that, there is no need for swearing!

My hat is off to Robson and all you other "youngsters" for your attitude on the swearing. Good for you. Nice to see so many verbally mature young people.

Cool I see you are located in Spokane, WA
I used to live at Fairchild AFB from 1991 - 1998
I liked Spokane (Our car tried to get hijacked twice going through the bad area of the city though )

I think he means that either you shouldn't have to tell us not to swear, or that we are old enough now to say what we want.
Of course that's not my view, but I think he could mean that.

Oh right, It became a daycare when people can't behave themselves on my forum, I personally don't want to read through alot of blanked out swear words in every thread and i'm sure you don't either. Again, this isn't enforced it's just asked and I do hope everyone can see this is for the benefit of the community

i mean we're not children. what makes "frankly, this looks like ****" any different from "frankly, this design looks like poo"? if anything, it loses creadability, because really, who talks like that? i'd think that's patronism before anything else.
personally, if you don't want to read through a bunch of asteriks, turn a filter off. we're not 7 years old.

Considering you're the only post who has a problem with this then it will stay put. Again, it's not a rule..i'm simply asking people to stop swearing, we have kids here derek and older members who i'm sure do not appreciate having to read through nonsense.
Everyone else seems perfectly happy with the adjustment. I'm sorry you seem to have a problem with it! As soon as people stop acting like they're 7 years old, the filters will (unfortunatly) have to stay put.
