  Old  Which should I learn?

I want to learn somthing new, I know php basics but not very well. I hardly know flash. Which should I learn fully? flash or php, I think php is the way to go but I would like to learn the one where you can earn more money obviously

Let's have a nice look at the pros and cons of Flash:

Pros

Respect from people who aren't good at Flash
Good pay per job

Cons

Jobs can take forever to complete, lowering the amount of money you can make
To get the most out of it, you need to learn a scripting language anyways
Some people can't view Flash documents in a browser
Flash just pisses me off :P

Now let's take a look at the pros and cons of PHP:

Pros

Extremely versatile
Easy to get into, challenging to master
High demand for PHP coders
Can be done in any word processing application
You can work on your scripts from any computer, unlike with Flash
Works on all browsers that support HTML, since it converts the info to HTML before displaying it

Cons

Requires hosting with PHP support
Finger cramps :P

-----------------------

Needless to say, PHP would be the more senseable route to choose if you're looking to make money

Flash is always a novelty, but I think PHP is a must.

Well I am definitly alot better with coding than designing, I am bad with colours etc.. I think I am going to learn php but should I think of a project I want to do and slowly try to build it? is that a good way of learning?

Although I agree with the end result, that php is more important than flash, I think that analysis was just SLIGHTLY biased.

Learn Flash, I have always wanted to, but have not had the time. Plus it looks better when you can offer flash integragated with designs.

I would learn flash, i think it would be easier to pick up and learn quickly as opposed to php and i also think there are more opportunities for making money with it.
