 20.1 or 19
i am planning on getting a new monitor and i was checking out new egg and i can decide on a 20 or a 19 both of them look around the same size but the 19 is so much cheaper.

What is 1" doing to do for the price it takes to upgrade? How much extra are you paying for 1"? If it's over $50, then it's not worth it, in my opinion.

If you are going to go in a whole different direction from the topic, why not just get a 30'? 
If you can afford it, get the 20.1. You can never have too much screen

WRONG! It's defenintly worth it. You can't get 1600x1200 on 19", non like a 20.1".

most 20.1's are widescreen, and most 19's are.. not?
I suggest you pick a widescreen or not, don't focus on the inches.
Unless I am completely wrong, in that case, disregard this.

Oh, didn't realize that 19" weren't widescreen at all. :\ Nor did I realize that you can't get 1600x1200.

You're right. Go with the 20" if you could afford it, but it's not worth paying A LOT more than the 19". Don't buy above your means..

well there's a lot more variables to consider than the number of inches... there's response time, resolution, viewing angle, refresh rate, and other stuff that can help or hinder your efficiency.
