  Old  Joomla extensions

There are tons of Joomla extensions be it modules, plug-ins or components available for free, which is great for Joomla users. So, if you are a Joomla user, before installing an extension, do you usually check it and how it is coded to find if there are any malicious scripts hidden in it?

To be honest, I don't. I am not good in website programming and coding, that's why I use CMS like Joomla (and Wordpress?) to manage my website and blogs instead of designing them myself.

I think it's a time consuming task.. intead you can use top ranked extentions in Joomla extentions directory becose it allows you to order by user ranking.

I don't do it either because I am not a good coder who can easily recognize something unusual in scripts. To be safe, actually you can choose paid extensions rather than the free ones.
