100,000 names on a petition are enough to get peace talks started?

If 81% of Europeans and 87% of Americans want peace in the middle east, why would anything change if they put 100,000 names on a petition?

Heh , maybe out of 100,000 some might donate some $, but it's a nice idea overall.

Gonna take more than a small site to change things, but it's a good start.

they talk of peace but offer no solution, they act as if its all over nothing. The palistine israel conflict wont end that simply. They both believe that the temple is holy, and will both die before throwing down their weapons and giving it to the other. It also comes down to there are people who want to see the west dead because thay will not convert to islam. I am not saying this is the majority, nor am I saying that this is islams word, I am saying that there are such people. It is nothing short of idiocy to say throw down your weapons and they will throw down theirs.

edit:
For those that say the west is the primary problem, watch this video of a kindergarden graduation. It isnt in english but it explains itself.

How about leading by example? How hypocritical is it to say we can have nuclear bombs while you cannot. I'm not old enough to remember, admittedly, but I do remember that Nagasaki and Hiroshima mean something. How many nuclear bombs do America have? How many do they need to cause worldwide destruction? If 2 countries in my proximity had been reduced to rubble, I'd want nuclear bombs, too, if the people committing the atrocities had nuclear bombs, and were threatening to use them. Jingoism? Dependency theory? Colonialism? Or just plain old terrorism?
