Garrett, the heading images could be text. The background images for the modules (client testimonial etc) headings are ok, but you could use text as the overlay and recycle the heading backgrounds. The images at the bottom for login etc could be text as well.

There is a technique to create shadows in css:

.shadow {
color: fff;
text-shadow: #000 1em 1em 1em;
}

The useage of images for text should only be utilised when you are using a decorative text that visitors may not have installed.

That's just a start to lowering your page weight. Good luck Garrett!

Your logo is much easier to read Bennett

Robbie[Pixabit], sorry you are so offended by my review. It was simply my opinion. I review sites quite critically, some get really great reviews, sadly this one didn't. I can back every single comment of mine up with articles/reviews/research etc, but choose not to do so unless direct help is required. Garrett does not require direct help other than learning how to better optimise his site.

Looks like everyone has gone into loads of detail, so I'm just going to say, I like it alot The distorted logo looks much nicer too if you ask me.

I tested the shadow class there, it doesn't work in IE, so i'm going to pass on that.

Thanks, and i've been working on this site all day for improvements.

So far text-shadow only works in Safari and other WebKit browsers.

Ya, but you can modify the DOM to handle it in IE I believe.

View my Mint to see all the stats if you guys are curious.

Thanks for all the feedback, and I could always write some simple JavaScript, but is there really a need? I think the image works just fine, takes very very short to load.
