wait, so have other GTAs been based off of real locations as well?
very very loosely.
GTA 3 was very loosely based off locations in NYC and Chicago, GTA VC Miami and parts of Cuba, and GTA SA was (most obviously) based off of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco, with other locations in California scattered about. GTA IV seems to take a more direct approach to emulating NYC, probably much to R*'s criticism.
yeah i cant wait for this game, i wonder how accurate the map will be to NYC, i'd imagine most of Manhattan would be accurate and other notable places around the whole city, then other parts are just generalized i'd say. but would be cool if some of the big highways were accurate too.
also yeah that sucks theres no flying, is it confirmed theres no flying or was that just a rumor? cuz if its about 9/11 then the other GTAs have flying also, i know cuz this ones in NYC though, but still they shouldnt take away flying, its not like there will be any WTC buildings. but yeah i think they should put in flying if its not there cuz thats one of the fun parts, and i wanna see the flying on the next-gen systems.
