Lazy people shouldnt be offering services.

Using a CMS would only be a little easier then a CMS, a CMS may actually be more trouble then its worth. Its not like you are doing any advanced management stuff.

I completely agree, your work ethic is a very important aspect of hiring anyone for a job. Displaying yourself as lazy would definitely put people off.

I CMS is hardly needed in a small portfolio website. I don't feel that a CMS is ever needed at all. A database driven website is a good thing, but I prefer to code it myself.

I don't think by saying he was "lazy" he was in the wrong. Let's try "efficient"? If there was a CMS or some script that helped display portfolio pieces for designers (probably not able to code more than static pages), than I can't see why this would be a bad idea.

Coding by hand is great... but if you can create something to save time (time is money!) then more power to you!

unless your missing a couple digits i cant see how it would be faster to learn how to use a CMS, what a CMS is, and integrate your work/portfolio etc when it takes a couple hours to just pump out something clean and static. if you cant code it then hire someone because anyone needing a CMS for a project so minute that is suposed to express who you are; is like an artist that can think of things to paint but needs some else to actually do the painting.

Unless you're planning on updating in daily, a CMS probably isn't necessary. I've just set up my portfolio as a simple website, nothing too flashy, something to just say "Look what I've done"
