Poll: TF Takes Too Long To Load Each Page
This is killing me. TF takes way too long to load each page. Every page has a little over 500 images to load. I can tell because in my toolbar I wait each time for each page to load and process those images. I'll take a screenshot if needed.
Please chime in other members, does it take forever for you to load each page? Nearly ten to fifteen seconds each page.

It actually loads surprisingly fast for me. If you are using the new skin, I think switching to the old one would help.

I'm using the new skin and I don't feel any difference whatsoever, maybe you just have slow internet?

I get the same problem when browsing the site at school over their connection using IE6, it takes forever as they do not cache the pages so i have to wait for 500+ images to load on every page. At home though its fine with my 20meg ineternet but thats not suprising really.

The problem is that even though the images might be small in size, there are just so many of them. For browsers which don't cache as much, that could mean over 100 trips to and from the TalkFreelance server per page load. Those trips have to be queued down to maybe two at the same time which leads to the delays in loading time as a whole. That's just what you get for a having a graphics-heavy skin.
