mixing ads?

Is it possible to have ads from Google and other ads on the same page / site? Or is this forbidden by Google?

I believe this is allowed, I think there is even a hack for adsense to shown different ads? Either way, i've used adsense on this website and had other adverts also on display (sponsor ad, text links etc).

I think it is allowed aslong as the other ads do not have the same look as google ads, but I think something like fastclick and google is allowed.
