Your parents wont allow you to have a bank account!?!?!? Woah, leave home start a new life . Who says they need to know about a paypal account...you can earn soley on the internet. That way you dont need a bank account to get money into it.

I can have a paypal account without associating it to a bank account? Where would the funds be stored then?
And, I correct myself. I have a bank account, but I can't use the money in it till I'm 18.

Funds are stored on PayPal. Your bank account for the Internet!

Paypal is basically like any other bank account but virtual, you can link it to a actual bank account but it can also function without a bank account associated with it. you can send and recieve to anyone else with paypal.

How were people going to pay you if you didn't have a paypal account or a bank account?

When i registered i had to link a bank account and verify it with funds send to my bank account via paypal. Otherwise i believe you can't send money. However i think this is only if you register on the English paypal site. My guess would be to register via paypal.com insteadof the UK site.

I would highly recommend getting a bank account, money in paypal isnt secure. If someone hacks you you could loose it all and if someone files a charge back you will get burned. The best way is to use paypal as what its meant to be, a gateway. Being a minor doesn't matter in terms of a bank account, if you can get a parent to co-sign for you, you can get a bank account. If your parents wont let you get one, use theirs and just know how much of it is yours.
If none of that works, wait till you have 1k and a check for it, ask the teller to get it all in 10's, come home with 100 10's and with them in your hand make the appeal to your mom or dad.
