My suggestion is www.w3schools.com. You can search for e-books and video tutorials at torrent trackers. Good luck!

My vote goes to w3schools.com, this site is good for html beginners and you can also learn from eBooks.

I started with w3schools, really good explained with examples. You can also search videos on youtube, there are a lot of good tutorials. Actually, no matter from what source you start to learn, it's important for you as soon as tested in practice newly learned skills good luck!

I'd vouch for w3schools as well.

I suppose everyone around here started there and moved up.

Old  More sites to look at for learning HTML coding

Here are a couple of other sites you can check out too!!!

www.codeacademy.com
www.coursera.org
www.codeschool.com
www.khanacademy.org

I hope this helps you!!

I personally like the site "codeacademy" this site walks you through each
task that goes into writing and learning HTML coding in detail step by step instructions.

This site is free no monthly fees!! All of the courses on this site is completely
free to use at your own pace.
