Actually both of them are good when it comes in business branding and advertising but Facebook may have an extreme edge over Twitter when it comes to the amount of monthly active users, advertisers want engagement on the platforms most inhabited during a live-event.

It seems to me that here the rule of golden middle should serve its role. Since each network has its benefits. Facebook possesses more users, but twitter users check their news more frequently.

Use both Facebook as well as Twitter to promote your business... Just make sure you are doing it right...

from my experience it's easier to advertise on twitter than facebook, with hashtags you can share a post across many different niches of people, twitter is just more public, you can get your message to a lot of different people vai tweet without having to friend them.though getting started on twitter may be difficult, there are sites like twillow. facebook doesn't seem like there's much you can do to get more followers seeing as people only follow friends(unless i'm mistaken due to my unfamiliarity with facebook as an advertising platform)

It depends on what you want to use it for.

We use Twitter to communicate network outages and support customers who may make contact via Twitter.

Haven't yet gotten started on Facebook yet.
