Old  Building web 2.0 ad program

I'm in the process of making an ad management program that I'm going to be releasing as an open source I was just wonder if there a market for this type of program for users here.

Basically you can run and manage, sell your own ads do all your own tracking on your server. I'm also going to release it as a hosted service, where you add your site, some adspace, then paste in a generated script, choose keywords and have ads served on your page. Would anyone be interested in this type of service?

Would anyone also be kind of enough to help me beta test this service?

We had all of that in Web 1.0, why stick that 2.0 label on it? As far as ad management software goes there's a huge selection out there already so it would be difficult to compete.

Now, if you're going to make a "2.0" piece of software add some "2.0" features in there. First on my list would be serving new ads on "page load" (ie, when the page doesnt load, in an ajax app). Quite where you might involve a community aspect in there is beyond me at the moment.

Salathe recommended a must have feature if you are going to stick a web 2.0 label on your ad management software.
