Old  Key word density - SEO

I recently made the index page have more of my target key words. My google rankings dropped immediately. Is this because I am being penalized for too many key words, or is it because of something else?

My site is http://www.learn-hindi-online.com

My target key words are:
learn hindi online
learn hindi
hindi

When reading the index page, it seems natural to me. It doesn't seem like its over stuffed or anything like that.

Also if you have other advice, thanks.

I think before you begin your site’s optimization, you should read the optimization strategy, tips, and technique that become very helpful you. If you continue with your own style, Google may penalize your site and you well aware about Google Penalty. Still you have a time, less but effective will give you good result. I agree with neighbor dmbtransports, you must read Google panda and Page Rank policy. Keep in mind don’t violate Google rules and regulation. If you love Google then Google obviously love you.

You should aim for a keyword density of 2-3%.

Your keyword density for Hindi and Learn are 8.13% and 6.33% respectively. If you have too much keywords Google might think your keyword stuffing. Try reducing the amount of keywords and see if it helps.

You are keyword stuffing. Your density is way higher than it should be for the phrase, "Learn Hindi". Google is going to keep penalizing you for that. I would have it on that page maybe 3-5 times at the most.

You have stuffed 'learn hindi' keyword too much. I think you should review your content again.

Google had somewhat penalized your site for keyword stuffing. The keywords may not be obvious on a users point of view but it does for search engines view. You don't have to put so much keywords on your page, just learn how to put it on the right places on the page.

Key word selection is a very important aspect of website marketing. Online marketing has gained its popularity mainly due to the easiness of the search for the products and services.

The OP is not asking about keyword selection, rather whether keyword density affects his Google ranking - which it does. I do agree that Google sees your site as over stuffing keywords. Cut back a bit, to 2-3% and I'm sure you'll see an improvement.

I am agreed with all above my forum fellows. Yes your site is penalized by google. Just to follow the instructions mentioned above related to your keyword density and reduce your keywords density from present one. After doing so take some time and then start working on your keywords ranking.

These are almost the same keywords. Maybe you have to research more on what keywords to place in your website. Yes, do not try to spam your content and avoid redundancy.
