  Old  WordPress-to-Drupal Newbie?

This is more of a general inquiry about this CMS than it is a specific question. Since I'm a veteran WordPress user, not developer, do you have an idea how complicated would it be to master Drupal? Basically how much is Drupal different from WP?

What reason to do you have to go from WordPress to Drupal? I'm a WordPress developer and honestly, Joomla and Drupal are downgrade compared to WordPress and Expression Engine. I'd prefer/recommend Expression Engine over anything else (if it isn't WordPress.)

I want to build a portal for my community, similar to facebook, but of course, down scaled version. Since this site will be built to grow I need CMS that can expand pretty fast, in features as well in users.

I have the same question. I am amking a similar site, lol. Anyways i ahve decided on using drupal because of security reasons. I was going to use wordpress because of its extensive plugin database. Which just makes me build just a small portion of website(codewise). Drupal am pretty new, dnt know wat m gnna do. Dnt have ne expirience wid expression engine though.

Hope someone else can shed a bit more light on d matter, so both o us can choose a good platform.

There are multiple ways where you can manage wordpress as compared to drupal, where as drupal is more seo friendly as compared to drupal. In sofastico you can add multiple way to manage multiple CMS with a click so you can opt to go with in that cms you are in need. T

But what exactly is different between the two platforms? How is logic different in Drupal? Is there anyone that develops (uses) in both of these systems?
