Entries feel too close together, so I feel like it's almost one huge block of text I have to sift through.
I liked the design from when it was being sold originally, so no comments on that.. But there's just something about how the entries have been written/set up that really turns me off.
I think it's just the images tossed into it that really ruin it for me.

I don't like all that mass of information before I get to the content, which is the reason I am visiting the site, either make all that smaller (guest author, startup submissions) or get rid of it. Looks good otherwise.

I think aswell, you should spend a little more time on the design. The one I designed (not being big headed or anything) looks so much better. I think, just the font's used and the background pattern I used and all the little details, adds to the whole user experience. Should rethink, and maybe get those added

Yes, just waiting on the coder, as he forgot background and underglow? on the navigation.
As far as the navagation font, I chose to use a web font. Do you believe <b> would be better looking?

Yeh, bold it up Maybe try Georgia Bold for the navigation.
