Apple store design suggestions
Hi all, I have recently been asked to create a redesign of the apple.com store page as part of a job interview.
http://store.apple.com/
I am looking for your opinion on the current design and layout and how you think it could be improved. Any suggestions/comments are welcome...thanks...jon

Ouch, that is one hell of a task.
What I would do is make the design inspired by their famous Apple store on 5th Ave. in Manhattan. If you don't live anywhere near it, you can try and search for pictures of it or ask someone that does live nearby to take pictures for you.

Wow, I've never seen of, or heard of that store before. It's AMAZING.
What job are you interviewing for that is requiring you to do such a task?

That's a ridiculous task... Apple's website is a prime example of bulletproof web design, it's a solid website in every aspect, redesigning it is no easy task.

Its for a job in web design specialising in e-commerce. I have a feeling they are looking for a ipdate of graphics but also maybe a chang in layout, I have made a start on the graphics but dont know what I am going to change in terms of layout.

I don't like the idea of designing a 'global' site around one specific location... Some people might not even like that store...
