  Old  converting dvd files

hey does anybody know a great free software that allows you to convert dvd files(.iso) to an easy, yet good format to edit for a bmx video me and some friends are making. It would be cool if I could get some software thrown at me! Im asking because its really really hard to edit a dvd file(if thats even possible). Thanks

Jason

DVD files are not ISO files. DVD files come in a few formats, but the core of the videos are VOB. They can be converted to AVI using DVD Decypter and then Vidomi. Which is the combination I use. I also use a Bitrate Calculator to calculate the ideal bitrate before conversion.

IFO are the files that contain the sequence of VOB files. VOB files are the main video files.
