I don't currently have a web server with asp.net on it, but I do use it on my own computer and I think it's great .

I do most of my web applications in .Net using MonoRail. It's as close as you get to Ruby on Rails but with all the extra great features of the .Net framework!

  Old  Web Apps In C#/ASP.Net

Hi,

I develop all my projects in C#.NET especially CRM's and Content Management Systems. If you're new to the .net platform then stick with it, you'll soon realise how object orientated programming makes life so much easier. Re-usable code is the main advantage.

Over the last two years I have developed a massive library of code, which means I never have to develop anything from scratch anymore.

Good look with the release. If you need any pointers, just give me a shout.

Hey, I have been a freelancer for years and have developed and published quite a few sites in .NET, including a few using the new ajax extentions.

It gets a bad wrap, but .NET really is a great language for developing websites.

I have multiple client projects going on using ASP.NET with C#. Once you master the whole event thing with postbacks, it's actually pretty cool to use. But when I want to go light and fluffy (and free), I end up doing LAMP instead.

Nowadays you can develop with .NET for free just like LAMP. Just get the express editions of visual studio and SQL Server and have at it.
