Javascript Checklist?

Hey guys,

I want to create a checklist like http://www.gta4land.com/100-percent-checklist/ however I want mine a bit different so that readers can tick the boxes they have completed and click a submit button which makes it so when the reader goes back to the page later on the ticked boxes stay ticked.

I am guessing I would need to do something with cookies for this to work? Any help would be great, thanks!

you could use a database for if they get on another computer or clear their cookies
or they dont allow them

using a database would take up a lot of space for possible users that never come back...

but it is possible
