Yep, that's a must! I also don't like the fact it doesn't show the lines. When i'm coding php and get errors (alot of them) i like to be able to debug fairly quickly.

I sought of discussed the editor I used in the other thread about frontpage and dreamweaver but any way I use the same as Kiswa, EditPlus. Thats for any web development type stuff any way (xhtml, html, css, javascript, php) any way.

I use JGrasp for Java. However I am new to Java so I have only just started using this very recently. JGrasp is also probably a good one for C or C++ but I haven't got that far yet .

notepad2 (free and complete with syntax highlighting) and the proggyclean font (I'll never use anything else unless forced to).

ZendStudio 4.0 Pro all the way baby! Besides that I tend to use Macromedia MX 2004 or notepad. But lately Zend 4.0 has been the only thing I have coded in. Anyone else here tried that?

It use to be that I only used Notepad. Then I moved onto Crimson Editor. Most of the time, I use Crimson Editor, but recently I've downloaded Notepad2 to replace the regular Notepad due to Notepad2 having more features such as line numbering and what not.
