Hi, I'm new to the forum!
Hi, I'm Kokotai. I'm a social media marketing consultant and SEO junkie. I own a small web design and social media marketing company in the UK from which I serve clients from around the world.

Hey kokotai, welcome to TalkFreelance, certainly nice to have people in the social media marketing field joining as of late.
Here is a question I've always wondered. How do you evaluate the work to come up with a proper quote for a client? What factors go into decision-making?

Hi Artahses
Thanks for the welcome email. Re client quotes, I do a website and social media evalutaion and see where they are in terms of on and off page SEO, search engine rankings and then see what their social media impact is by doing searches on Facebook and Twitter, seeing who if anyone is talking about their business or product and then put together a tailored quote.
I'm in the UK and most of my offline clients don't even understand the power of social media in promoting their product or service. It's great fun, I love the techie side too, can't get enough of it!.
Great to be on the forum.

Thank you for explaining. Quite an interesting approach. I guess social media, being understood differently by different people, offers a variety of ways to put value on work. Depends on how the client sees it, how you see it, etc. At the end of the day - are there any ways to measure tangible results? How does one identify whether a chosen strategy succeeded or not?
