  Old  Personal Financing

Greets,

I've recently started keeping track on what money comes in and goes out for personal reference and knowledge. To do this I have devised a very simple Excel Spreadsheet using basic formulas to calculate daily and monthly totals.

I was just wondering what other methods people used to do such things, and if any software was to cater to a basic level of financing.

Thanks

there are a lot of finance software... both for personal as well as professional but i did not find any adequate for my needs so made my own

Yep, I've had to create a software like this for class using visual basic. Was very simple with an income/expense listboxes that kept running totals of the difference.

I've never actually kept track on my spending....but it's certainly something that I should start doing (maybe if I did I wouldn't be in debt by a grand)
