One way links are the most important and valuable for a website and just a few quality one way links for site may boost ranking. Some different ways for getting one way links are:
Submit your site to major directories, such as Yahoo! and DMOZ.org, in the appropriate category.
Submit articles to article directories.
Publish articles on your site and invite other sites to publish them on their sites, with a link to you.
Participate in forums which allow a text link to your site in a signature.
Get listed in business directories.

Ranking high begins with having great content. After you get some good quality posts on your site, people will start linking to you. Essentially it's called "link bait". Good luck!

Old  First of all, validate your site

Hi guys,

First and (I think) the most important thing to do is

validate your code !

Have a look e.g. on W3C validation site, put there address to your site and it tells you whats wrong with your code and gives you hints what to do.
(as you can see that two sites you are promoting in your signature are not valid... #1, #2)

If your code is not valid and is full of "bugs" then you can have a great links to your site and it will not help you.

When crawlers come to your site and it is impossible for them to read in your code, then they can’t see what your page is about.
It is same like having a blank page - if not even worse

If you don't know how to validate your code, then I am available for hire

You may think “come on”, what are you talking about e.g. google crawler reads my site without problems.

Yes, it may, but it can also “see” that your code is against standards, so it ”make a note” that your site with buggy code is e.g. inaccessible for special browsers for blind people and this could affect your page rank.

To get to higher rankings, you need to get tons of back links..quality of back links I should say and when I'm talking about quality it deals with relevancy.. Google gives more weight on back links with the same niche compared to those irrelevant sites..
