Google's aim, said Eric E. Schmidt, the chief executive, is to make it easier and faster for people to buy products advertised on Google — thus attracting more advertisers.

It is for buyers/sellers who use the ad links on Google. Not for you to use as an online bank like Papal although I'd like to see if Google could make something better than Paypal When I first heard about Gbuy quite some time ago I thought it was going to rival Paypal with the online bank type thing because of the way people described it. Now seeing it released it doesn't look that great.

i dont see why they cant go ahead and make a paypal rival service, hotmail dominated online email with their crappy service and they released gmail, im sure they can do same with gbuy

This topic is a little old, but I have one comment: The site is down. Does this mean that Google, the king of bandwidth, actually went over the limit?
Wait! It loaded. 124 seconds after starting (I have a 10mpbs connection).
