I would recommend C++ because that is a really easy programming language you can learn and you can create killer applications with those

I would go with ROR. I've been experimenting with it lately, I love it.

c++ is as far from easy as it gets, I did it for a year and a half and couldn't make more then a game of breakout.

I would at least look at ROR. It's a great language.
