Old  Need Advice for the best eCommerce Script

I have a client who needs a store and im trying to find the best script out on the market right now for him. It needs to be user-friendly, easy to manage, and has a good templating system. I need to make sure it doesnt have any monthly office, just a one time purchase.

Can you guys throw me some advice.

Thank you

I've found cubecart - http://www.cubecart.com - to be a pretty friendly solution

Magento, I develop with it daily @ work. It uses more resources than most solutions but its extremely flexible - it's worth the extra power usage! Only downside so far - which I hate about it, is that if the user has js turned off, it won't work. But hey, who has js turned off for security reasons but dares to shops online?

Magento looks really good however from the first point of view it feels a little complicated for somebody who has never had an online store. I have a few questions regarding the way the system works if you guys are familiar with it.

How do the gateways work and do they allow gateways

How is the shipping arrangements and does it include all carriers.

Is the catalog easy to manage and run huge inventories?

How is the templating system: Hard to skin, mediocre, pretty straight forward. Pick one please.
