I run vB myself and I'm happy with it. However, I love the multiple quotes in IPB which vB does not support (unless you manualy enter them that is). An other feature IPB has that I liked was that you can see in which forum a member is most active.
User wise, I might actually lean towards IPB.
Admin wise, I can't honestly say because I've not used IPB's Admin CP. However, as a developer, I am very impressed with vB!
Cheers!

Go to the vBulletin.Com forums.
They have vB 3.6 running and guess what it has . . . Multi-Quotes.
vBulletin is much better IMO, the company is more stable, the product is more solid, and the code is easy to add on to.

Go for vBulletin, it's has more features than IPB and I suppose there is not much difference between yearly license fees of vBulletin and IPB.

I like VB better than IPB... However, over all I like Vanilla the most.

Hey, well what do ya know eh?
Actually I used the wrong term, what I meant was nested quotes not multi quotes... for example, I lost the quote you had in you post when I clicked the quote button where as with IPB your intire post (quotes and all) would have remained in tack. I find that feature VERY useful and I don't know why vB has not adapted it as well...
But hey, they now have multi-quotes AND snapbacks! Snapbacks are super handy! So they are getting their I guess.
Still, user wise I would have to say IPB.
Cheers!
And I know eh? WHY OH WHY can we not resist posting in these IPB vs. vB threads?!?! I swear it's like thease threads have been beat to death over and over and over and over again... *cough* this will be my last post in a vB vs IPB thread. hahaha, ya right, how am I kidding. lol

VBULLETIN, as I think about it, it's for the more advanced webuser imo. I wouldn't purchase a VBULLETIN lisence without looking into the way VBULLETIN is formed and learn how to use it. If you and VBULLETIN get along, then definatly go with it, once you've sussed out all the nucks and crannies you'll learn to love it.
Oh and love me XxXXxX
