TFL Forum Contest
I think a great way to get more people involved and to help out TFL should hold a forum contest. I think it would be cool if say whoever has the most pts by a certain date wins. You could get certain amounts of points by posting, starting threads, writing articles, referring members, etc. Well theres my suggestion

That's right Cory, people never won loads of cash in the contests, people never won T-Shirts, scripts, advertising etc either. They never worked out eh?

You know, you members need to get out more, explore other areas of the community, maybe even read the community news, found on the front page (we can't edit it right now, since it needs to get recoded into the new template). Right there is a $100/$50 competition for the thread that gets the most replies. That contest was a month ago.
Prior to Christmas Jeff had a huge Christmas bonanza of contests where these were the prizes:
$150 worth of Advertising:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread26794.html
$25 worth of Advertising:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread27234.html
Threadless T-Shirt:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread27397.html
Domain Name:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread27579.html
$50 worth of Advertising:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread27685.html
Threadless T-Shirt:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread27833.html
$40 Humoursoftware License:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread27294.html
$25 worth of Advertising:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread28260.html
Threadless T-Shirt:
http://www.talkfreelance.com/thread28019.html
So there you go, there are Hundreds of dollars worth of advertising there, a domain name, 3 T-Shirts and a Humoursoftware license.
There was a huge promotional drive for the Xmas bonanza, a number of staff had it displayed prominently in their sigs, the frontpage news was filled with contest info for a month.
Stop knocking the site guys, think of some nice comments, like..hey you guys are awesome and must work your damn butts off organising all this stuff, and maintaining your own personal lives (work, study, families, business etc).

Looks good, though the prices next to the advertising prizes make them look better than they really are. Considering for a good month the 125x125 spot was open. Still nice nonetheless.

Jako, the prices for the advertising are exactly as they are stated on the Advertising section of Talkfreelance. How can they look better than they are? They are exactly what they say they are
