But if you take it to a coder, you'll hopefully get a product that works at the end of the day. Who in their right mind is going to buy your script, knowing it has serious flaws? That means you're only going to have to hire someone else to fix it up to a useable standard.

It isn't all about the money, i'm sure most people would be happier to pay a coder 5x or 10x more for something they know actually works like you'd expect it to.
