How much does Bing differ from Google?

They have their different algo. But If I were aware of their exact difference I should not have been in the SEO industry. I would be a millionaire.

There are two primary differences...

1. Bing spends A LOT on advertising trying to convince us that it is relevant
2. Google actually works

the essence is the same
both are SEs
but for us who do SEO
we might find it is more friendlu and could also bring us a little bit traffic

More difference are soon to be followed as Microsoft and Yahoo have signed a deal for bringing a radical change in the search engine industry.

bing is a screwed up search engine. i got better results with google. i actually used to like msn live search engine. but since the changed to bing i can't stand it. no more bing.

1. Bing overlaps Google too much.
2. Bing is pretty close to Google (and Yahoo) on ranking.
3. Spam in search results: Bing 2.9%; Google 2.56%; Yahoo 4.9%.
4. Bing results seem to prefers keywords in the URL.
5. Bing seems to prefer pages where the term occurs with its first letter capitalized.
6. Bing returns results for the search term YOU enter instead of what they THINK you meant to enter, the way Google does. Bing also replaces titles in URLs listed in the search result less frequently than does Google.
7. Bing’s "page popularity" measure is different from Google’s PageRank.
