Im guessing the cost of living is a lot lower in romania, but i definately think a quality 5 page design is worth 300+. i think the outrageous prices need to stop, its killing the market for the people who freelance for a living

Its kind of a silly question. Templates can range from any prices. Usualy like everyone is saying right now, it depends on the quallity, the buyer, and the intelegence of the 2. Sometimes i've seen some "sale" templates sell for as low as $6. I know for a fact that i can sell my templates for $200, and i've actually got people to purchase templates from me for $50-$200. The estimated price i'd say would be around $100, either high or low. A lot of people now adays keep selling them for only $50 - $60. Usually if you go to big business's and sell a unique, custom, and full rights template. Your probably going to get in the $1000's.

Ben has nailed his answer. Great reply!

I believe in adding a lot of value by going above, and far beyond, the Clients requirements.

I currently have an offer on my website of $500 NZD for a 5 page website. This website would be the most basic website you could imagine, with maybe 1 piece of eye candy thrown in. This site would be uber simple in structure and coding. It would take me 8 hours or less to get this kind of website from initial meeting to completion.

My hourly rate is currently $100 NZD/hour and I am considering raising it.

Don't undersell yourselves. Most of you are actually better visual designers than me, but I am a better business person

Amen to that - I should have taken up business studies again this year

It all really depends on people want. For a PSD I charge about $100-$200. Simply because it takes me about two hours to do a PSD design on average.

If development is needed pricing goes up quite a lot as I find it quite time consuming.
