I really don't care, they both look good to me.
I personally have a LCD, but if faced with either technology I'd probably just go for the deal.

I just got a 42in Sony LCD for my room. You cant play video games on a plasma tv, it burns the tv when you pause the game or if its a dark game.

ward whats it matter to you, just dont post in them
to me i think LCD and Plasma look much the same, yeah sometimes i see better quality in plasma but as stated plasma burns into the tv if its paused on anything for a longtime. One my friends ruined his TV because they played multiplayer halo and the 4 boxes burnt into the screen.

LCD all the way, Plasma does not have the clarity.

Newer Plasma screens don't have that problem, or so I'm lead to believe at least.
I don't think either is actually better than the other, like with most things it all depends on the specific item. If you compare a low end LCD to a high end Plasma then the Plasma will win but if the roles are reversed then of course the LCD will win, thats a pretty general view I know but it lies true for almost everything on the market.
Although I'm no expert on the whole thing, we just have a normal "old fashioned" TV for now (the prices of flat screens have plumited though so now does seem a good time to buy)
