PNG-32 is what IE has a problem with. Something about the alpha channels, but PNG-8 I believe IE can render properly. Just don't quote me on that.

Yes, you can do PNG transparency in IE (5?) 6. Question mark after 5 because I'm not sure XD But I am sure about 6.

Just use the following script:

It's javascript, but it works very well.

Okay, it says 5.5 + 6.

Its very inobtrusive and manageable, as seems to work perfectly.

PS - its going to be incorporated into the new TF design to cope with shadows etc.
I've used this 1-2 times before and is best i have come around, only problem i could find with that is moving backgrounds in place (like a link that moves the background in place to get rid of loading delays etc)

I can't verify this, just remember it gave me a headache some time ago (could have been my crappy coding :P)
