  Old  Handicrafts.....

Hello

A relative of mine has come to me asking for advice.
He has been in the handicraft field for quite a few years and is interested in making a wholesale handicraft site.
(where people can browse and buy handicrafts both wholesale and otherwise but more wholesale)

How do i go about marketing such a site?
In a forum like this.

I'm a little unsure of what you're asking for, however a great way to promote your website would be to include a link in your sig and post in forums related to that specific target market.

I wouldn't worry about submitting to the search engines, you should think about putting money into google adsense or overture though! I think that would work reasonably well

Tarun raises a good point. For free (apart from listing fees if the item sells) - Millions of visitors and browsers :}

i dont think the guy is looking for a person to come and buy from ebay
rather to come to the site and buy whole.
ebay.... it would mean buying there only.
i dont know.. does it involve going to the seller's site?

Actually, list your item on ebay!! Ebay gets billions of visitors every day, its a good way to advertise your website through your products on ebay for one week, and its cheap!!

Interesting....... I will talk to him about that. We just talked once. Anyway I think he already has some contacts with wholesale buyers and is looking to add on to that. So far I have got

- Posting in forums like this
- Google Ads.
- Ebay.

I think these 3 can be used for anything Cd Books, etc

Cool.... more the suggestions the better.

A question though - has anyone used site like www.bazee.com... a auction site to sell their products either for the first time or just to sell balance products after a sale or something
