Need advice on current situation

On August 29 I paid for a file hosting script to be skinned in a pre-coded template I already had. The skinner said it would take him a day to get it done if I paid him ahead of time (the night before) so I did. The next night I contacted him and he said it still wasn't done and it would be the next day...

After that he went missing for a while. I decided to go to the site where I found him at and PMed him over there. The next day he messaged me back saying that he has been in the hospital and has been using a public computer and I wouldv'e known that if I had read his recent posts. What I didn't get is why he had enough time to post all this but neglected to inform me, someone who had paid for his services, what so ever of this.

Well I guess my question is what should I do about this? Its almost been 20 days for something I thought would be 1 day and I don't want to pay to have someone else do it since I have paid for this already. I have tried to contact him everyway that I can but he is never on MSN anymore and never replies to AIM Mobile.

1. Always Get a Number (phone)
2. Never pay 100% upfront.
3. I'd say the best you could do is ask for a refund.

To add on to north's list: Always use a contract. Right now there's not much you can do except keep trying to contact him and warn others of his poor working habits.

How do you use/make a contract online as I'm interested in using them from now on?

You can't be bound by a legal contract if you are under the legal age, and it appears that atleast one of you aren't of legal age. I would take this as a learning experience.

OFFTOPIC: How hard is it to skin the php script? I've been getting into WP skinning, and if you want I could give this a shot (for free of course). Send me a PM if you're interested, but no gaurantees

How about you look at the stickied thread at the top of this sub forum zas?

Thanks for the offer but he never sent me the script he was skinning it with. I was supposed to get it when I recieved the rest of the files.
